Curbside Chipping & Community Work Day Assistance requests for the 2026 Spring/Summer Seasons opening mid-May.

Compost Your Combustibles:

Free services to Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District Property Owners. 

Location: Heavenly Boulder Lodge Parking Lot, 140 S. Benjamin Rd., Stateline
Dates: Saturday, May 2 – Saturday, July 18
Times: Daily 9am – 5pm

ONLY green waste materials – limbs, branches, small trees, bushes, etc. NO trash, paper, or metal materials.

Sponsored by: BLM-SNPLMA, F&B Lake Tahoe Inc., Heavenly Lake Tahoe, South Tahoe Refuse & Recycling Services, Tahoe Village, Tahoe Community Fund and TDFPD. 

 

Request Curbside Chipping:

Prior to requesting, please make sure your chipping pile is located at the end of your driveway and that is contains ONLY green waste materials – limbs, branches, small trees, bushes, etc. NO trash, paper, or metal.

The Zephyr Crew runs our Community Chipping Program from Spring to the first measureable snowfall.

1. Upper Kingsbury (streets above Chart House) – June 6 & 7

2. Chimney Rock / Lower Kingsbury – June 13 & 14

3. Round Hill / Kahle / Elks Ave – June 20 & 21

4. Zephyr Heights / Zephyr Knolls / Marla Bay / Lincoln Highway – June 27 & 28

5.  Skyland Region – July 11 & 12

6.  Logan Creek / Cave Rock / Lakeridge / Hidden Woods – July 18 & 19

7. Uppaway Estates and Glenbrook – July 25 & 26
